Janhvi Kapoor uses fresh fruit facials, and here’s how you can make your own with fruit-forward ingredients.

Janhvi Kapoor is well-known not only for her stellar acting abilities, but also for her flawless, radiant skin, and there’s a reason for it. While the young actress previously shared her late mother Sridevi’s secret hair oil formula, she also uses fresh fruit for her complexion. “Any leftover [fruit] we got from breakfast, we’d [Khushi Kapoor and herself] rub on our faces,” she said in an interview with Vogue. Fruit facials are more than just a natural therapeutic sensory experience; they’re also an ancient innate activity.

Fruits are high in minerals, vitamins, and important nutrients that act not only on the inside but also on the outside.

Fruit pastes, when used with other balancing components, can help with deep cleansing, pigmentation, dark spots, blemishes, and skin texture rejuvenation.

Fruits such as bananas, berries, oranges, and kiwis are at the top of the pyramid, offering a variety of cleansing and glowing advantages.

    3 fruit-based DIY recipes
    1. To avoid having dull skin, eat a Kiwi

Kiwi is high in vitamin C and E and is an antioxidant by nature. It aids in the neutralization of free radicals and the revitalization of dull skin. To make a kiwi mask, combine 1 mashed kiwi, 1 tablespoon honey, and a few drops of lemon in a paste and apply to the affected areas, such as the face and neck, for 15 minutes.

After rinsing with cold water, use a moisturiser. Remember that vitamin C in its purest form might irritate the skin, so do a patch test first.

    2. Use a banana mask to get rid of dark spots.

Bananas have been dubbed “nature’s botox” since they can do it all. They can help cure dark blemishes, avoid wrinkles, and keep skin elasticity because they are high in zinc, iron, and other nutrients. To make a paste, combine 1 mashed banana, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, and one third cup rolled oats.

Apply it to your face and neck and leave it on for 15-20 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.

    3. Acne-prone skin can benefit from berries

Berries are regarded a powerhouse among fruits due to their high anti-oxidant content. The good news is that they are equally effective when consumed or administered. Toxins and debris can be removed from oily skin via topical treatment, lowering sebum and unclogging pores. You may use berries in two ways: cut them up or mash them to make a paste and apply it straight to the skin, then wash it off with water after 15 minutes. Two, make a moisturising mask by combining mashed berries with 1 tablespoon of honey.

After 15 minutes, rinse with cold water and you’ll notice a difference.
