Maverick lands on the scene! Tom Cruise and co-stars Jennifer Connelly and Monica Barbaro land their helicopter HIMSELF at the premiere of Top Gun 2 on the aircraft carrier USS Midway in San Diego.
Tom Cruise looked dashing as he arrived at the premiere of his upcoming flick Top Gun: Retaliation. Maverick arrived at San Diego aboard the USS Midway in a chopper that he piloted alone.
Tom, who is known for performing his own stunts in his action films, declined to pilot the chopper on this occasion, but he still outshone all of his immensely attractive co-stars when he arrived at the star-studded event dressed dapperly in a black tuxedo and grey tie.
Tom Cruise, 59, waved to a sea of his supporters as he stepped out of the French Eurocopter AS350 Écureuil, which read: ‘Tom Cruise Top Gun: Maverick.’
The father-of-three showed a bright smile as he walked onto the red carpet, wearing a pair of black Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses with silver frames.
Cruise received his pilot’s license 28 years ago and has since performed a number of perilous stunts for his films, including spinning a helicopter while falling down over a waterfall. Teller, 35, dressed in a blue suit with a matching tie, a white dress shirt, and black shoes for the occasion.
He couldn’t jet in the original Top Gun since he didn’t have his license yet, but he does so in the sequel, flying a P-51 fighter plane and a helicopter. Tom reprises his role as the lovable Maverick, pushing the boundaries as a brave test pilot but avoiding the advancement in rank that would ground him in Top Gun: Maverick, which was released 36 years after the original film.
